What does Data Dog (Satalia Lithuania) do?

We create software solutions that empower organisations to shift to artificial intelligence driven future. We apply AI in the real world by building industry specific enterprise applications ranging from products tackling isolated problems to end-to-end supply chain, resource management and optimisation solutions. A couple of months ago we were acquired by Satalia, one of Europe's fastest growing AI companies, and our long-term partner in London. Working as one team, we apply our combined expertise in AI, data science and development to build full stack AI solutions that move the needle for our clients, and we have been doing it for the last 6 years.

What it means to be a Software Engineer in this project:

You’ll work for a project called Octagon, a customer and employee experience programme that is being delivered by Satalia and a partner for one of the biggest network engineering firms in the UK. Satalia’s objective is to deliver improvements to the way they currently schedule and allocate work for their engineers, by using ML and optimisation to augment the intelligence of their current scheduling tools. We are working on how to combine vehicle routing and workforce optimisation into a tool that best allocates work across a huge engineering workforce. The purpose is to distribute work in such a way that leads to improvements in overall productivity and job success. You’ll work with Java, cloud platforms, relational databases. Distributed team of data scientists and software engineers, located in LT and UK is using Scrum, you’ll have a chance to contribute to sprint planning sessions, stand-ups and retrospectives regularly.

Your responsibilities:

  • Cloud infrastructure management
  • Deployments
  • Kubernetes management
  • Systems engineering

What we expect from you:

  • Knowledge and experience operating on AWS, Google Cloud
  • Deployment tools such as Nomad, Kubernetes, Ansible
  • Strong knowledge on Linux platform
  • Experience with alerting systems
  • Basic skills with scripting and programming languages (Bonus)
