Project Manager

What does Data Dog do?

We create software solutions that empower organisations to shift to artificial intelligence driven future. We apply AI in the real world by building industry specific enterprise applications ranging from products tackling isolated problems to end-to-end supply chain, resource management and optimisation solutions. On a lot of our products we work together with Satalia, one of Europe's fastest growing AI companies, and our long-term partner in London. Working as one team, we apply our combined expertise in AI, data science and development to build full stack AI solutions that move the needle for our clients, and we have been doing it for the last 6 years.

What it means to be a Project Manager here:

As a Project Manager you will do much more than simple project coordination. You will lead the team - and we’re not just talking about our developers in Kaunas here, as the majority of your team members are distributed across Europe. You will be involved in the product development from the very initial stages - digging deep into clients’ business operations and processes and understanding where we can add value. You will be a leader - meaning you will focus not only on delivering results, but also empowering your team members, helping them make good strategic decisions, achieve high velocity and supporting them in achieving their personal growth goals.

Your responsibilities:

  • Scrum ceremonies (several products) - 40-50% you will be working hand in hand with the product business lead. You will be facilitating Sprint Planning Meetings, Daily Scrums, Sprint Demo Meetings and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring effective use of tools and educating the team on Agile processes.
  • Project management (several products) - 25-30%: you will facilitate the communication between customers and internal teams and oversee the product development, ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Supporting other PMs - 10-20%: you will be supporting other PMs from time to time - whether that’s covering them while they’re on holiday or sharing best practices and improvement ideas.
  • Working with leads - 5-10%: you will be involved in discovery workshops, analysing customers’ business needs and expectations, gathering requirements and crafting proposals.

What we expect from you:

  • Experience in Agile software product management and Agile software development processes;
  • Change management: ability to not only embrace the changes in the organisation, but also to engage colleagues and to drive the changes forward;
  • Strategic thinking: helping the team find and prioritise high potential ideas to work on;
  • Leadership skills: product managers rely on working well through others to help their teams succeed.
  • Personal effectiveness: you’re the master of managing your resources - your skills, time and focus;
  • Communication: effectively sharing the information that the team needs to function well (including perfect English skills, of course);

P.S. You have a sense of humour, right?
